With what browsers and Operating Systems can I use Gyzork?

Gyzork has been tested with the combinations of browsers and Operating Systems listed below - these combinations represent the majority of web users today. Gyzork does not restrict access to just these browsers and operating systems, we just can't guarantee that your experience will be the same.
Gyzork was tested using:
  • Windows XP: Internet Explorer 6 & 7, Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3
  • Windows Vista: Internet Explorer 6 & 7, Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3
  • MacOS X (10.4): Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3
  • Linux: Firefox 2

How often is new content added to Gyzork?

Gyzork checks for new Blog content every hour on the hour and new News content every hour on the half-hour. Any newly discovered content will be added to the Gyzork index at that time and made accessible on the Gyzork.com site as well as any RSS feeds subscribed to from Gyzork.com.

Do I need to register for an account on Gyzork?

You can discover articles without registering for an account but if you would like to gyzork an item,you need to register. Registering will allow you to come back over time to revisit your gyzorks.

Is registering for a Gyzork account free?

Yes, registering for an account is absolutely free and we will not share or sell your registration information with any third parties(view our Privacy Policy for more information).

What can I do to the homepage to customize it?

When you gyzork an article, you can choose to have it displayed on the homepage (after you've logged in).

Can I see what other people have gyzorked?

At the moment we cannot share what other people have gyzorked. However, we may plan to allow you to see your friends gyzorks if they choose to share them.

Does Gyzork support RSS feeds?

Yes, there are two ways to subscribe to RSS feeds.
  1. When you are browsing by category or concept, you can subscribe to the category using your preferred RSS feed reader (such as Bloglines and Google Reader).
  2. You can subscribe to one of your gyzorks. Under the "My Gyzorks" page, open the gyzork you would like to subscribe to and choose "Subscribe to this Gyzork" on the bottom left.

How do I delete a gyzork?

Currently, you can only delete one gyzork at a time. From the "My Gyzorks" page, expand the gyzork you want to delete and choose the "delete" option in the bottom right corner. Note that once a gyzork is deleted, Any RSS feeds that for that gyzork will cease to exist as well.

What if I want to change the title, description or add a gyzork to my homepage?

Open the gyzork you want to edit and choose "edit" on the bottom of the gyzork.

Can I import my bookmarks from other accounts like del.icio.us or on my Internet browser?

Right now we do not support importing or exporting bookmarks to and from other bookmark tools.
